Joe and Mable's Advanced Marketing Ideas...
copyright 2004 - JPEAdvertising.com

Just when you thought you'd seen it all...

The net is a very strange place. New sites with new ideas popup every day. Some are great, some are rehashes of what others have done, some look like something the cat dragged in.

Then there are sites like http://joeandmable.com/ which are innovative, unique and something outside the box.

The FIRST rule of marketing is...

GET NOTICED.

You can't get a result if your website is invisible. You need to get noticed and that means you need to stand out from the crowd. Your task is to find a USP. Something you offer or do that is unique. It could be something you do that your competitors don't do or something they do but keep silent about.

Either way, tell your visitors what you do. Chances are they haven't heard it before.

The SECOND rule of marketing is...

BE DIFFERENT.

This rule is directly related to the first rule. Here we take it one step further and do something dramatically different. You need to achieve 3 things with your website.

1) Make it memorable.
2) Get people talking about it.
3) Design your offer in a way that your visitors get the concept or idea in one take.

Dare to be different and you may be surprised to find that people like what they see and that could mean more sales and signups for your product, services or offers.

The THIRD rule of marketing is...

BE FIRST.

There is a definite advantage at being first to do something. We are strangely attracted to
entrepreneurs, innovators, creators. We want to mimic them, copy them, and be like them.

If you want to attract others in droves. Think about products or services you would like to
own. Products and services that solve problems you have. Then, do a search on Google to see
if they exist. If they don't, get together with others in a joint venture and create them.

Do your homework and you could soon have an instant winner on your hands.

The FOURTH rule of marketing is...

HAVE FUN.

If you aren't having fun at what you do, do something else. People who are really successful
enjoy what they do and it shines through in the way they talk about their products and services.

Enthusiasm is infectious. It attracts us and it's often directly responsible for increased sales and higher sales to visitor conversion ratios.

You will soon know if you are on the right track when others start talking about you in a positive way. Here's what a few of our guru friends think about the Joe and Mable idea. They published these comments in their newsletters.

Innovative Marketing Website #1:
"The Joe and Mable Show"
http://joeandmable.com

Well, it was only a matter of time. After all, reality television is a big hit, so why not a Web Marketing Soap Opera?

And it is here...

The Internet's first Audio Soap Opera on Internet marketing...
"Joe? Yes, Mable? Are We Rich Yet?"

I'm not sure which word describes it best... zany, wacky or irreverent. But one thing is for sure, it is comical.

If you've ever tried to make a little dough online, you may be able to relate to poor Mable. She's a little out of her element when it comes to web business, but hey, she's trying. And a bunch
of web marketing guru's are going to help her reach her goals. (Or at least save face a little.)

WARNING: Do not drink coffee and listen at the same time.

P.S. I even have a bit role in an upcoming episode - listen for it!

SHAWN CASEY'S REVIEW

Finding new and creative ways to market. As an example, Phil Basten and Jane Mark have
created the net's First Marketing Soap Opera. Their concept is to grab a new market niche -
adding zany and irreverent humor to keep people coming back for more.

I'll be starring in an upcoming show so stay tuned.

The Continuing Saga of J and P - Now in audio...

This week you can either read the continuing saga of J and P or you can listen in on it instead. We just thought you'd like to hear the unique mix of J's raspy, loud, New York Accent and P's softer, more laid back approach... Either way turn up your speakers and have some fun with us today...

P?

Yes, J?

I'm overwhelmed by the response to Joe and Mable. People really seem to like it. I don't mean just marketing people, I mean real people.

Real people, J?

Yeah, you know, the ones that live in the real world and have real jobs and stuff.

Real jobs?

Yes P. Real jobs like real estate people, bankers, school teachers, moms and all sorts of people.

Are you saying we don't have real jobs, J?

No P. Our job is fun, it's not really work as in a real job. You know what I mean.

Not really, J. But let's see if I can get a handle on it. Are you saying that working 7 days a week, 16 hours a day for 2 years, taking our computers everywhere, and going out to dinner at night where we mainly talk shop, is not real work?

Well, now that you out it that way P, maybe it is. But you got part of it wrong.

Really J. And what might that be?

Well for one thing I don't take my computer everywhere.

Is that right J?

Yes! I don't take my computer into the bath. I don't take it to the restaurants or the hairdresser and I don't use it when I'm on the phone, and...

J?

Yes, P?

Don't start....
