No, No, No , No! You are not getting it! That's not what it is! That's not what it's about! You missed the point!

What are these ravings? They are me trying to answer some of my mail this week about my absolute favorite program, Instant Cash Magnet.

Phil and I were surprised and dismayed to learn that our prize possession- our baby-our first love- ICM, was not as well understood as it should be by people joining it.

ICM is a viral advertising tool and, from some of the emails I was receiving from new members joining, it was clear to me that this term and this concept needs some clarification and that I had some "splaining" to do.

I guess Phil and I just sometimes take it for granted that everyone understands what viral advertising is and how it works and how important it is for the over all success of your business.

Well, we are wrong. Not everyone gets it and when I see that I go to work to try to see if I can help people get their head around the concept.

Here is a reprint of the information I sent to our Instant Cash Magnet members which illustrates what viral advertising is and how can work for you.

The basic purpose of ICM or, the Ravertiser,as we call it is:

To expose your own website to as many people as possible all over the net:

When you join you can put an ad in for any site that you like and your ad appears right at the top of your affiliate site.

This is called viral advertising and it is what smart marketers look for all over the net.

This is an affiliate program.

When you sign up, you will receive an affiliate link to advertise.

With this link you can make sales and receive ten dollar payments for each sale that you make through your PayPal or StormPay accounts. You keep the 10.00. Additionally, your customers will decide how many rotations in the system they would like to purchase and will send in an administrative fee starting as low as 2.50.

The more effective and regular advertising you do of your affiliate link, the more 10.00 payments you are likely to make. While the 10.00 is great, it is really the bonus part of this advertising tool.

The more important part of this tool (from an advertising point of view) is the exposure you get for the program you are advertising which is randomly displayed on the owners site and randomly displayed on all other affiliate sites.

When the owners advertise this program, which is all the time, everyday, your ad appears in the number one ad location according to the number of rotations you purchase.

Your ad appears randomly in the number 2 and 3 positions and this does not depend on the number of rotations you purchased. This is the randomizer aspect of this viral advertising tool.

Your ad appears randomly in the number 2 or 3 position whenever another affiliate is advertising and it is always in the number
one position when you advertise.

This means that your site is being advertised by you, by thousands of other affiliates and by the owners of the program, JPE Advertising. You have three different sources of advertising for your own site.

For example, take a look at the generic link that the owners advertise:

Hit refresh a few times when you look at this and you will notice that different ads appear in the first advertising position as well as in the second and third spots. The ads in the first spot appear according to the number of rotations purchased. So someone purchasing 50 or 100 or 500 or 1000 rotations appears many many more times then someone who purchases a 1 to 1 rotation.

However, this is not true in the second and third spots. Ads appear in the second and third spots in a completely random manner no matter what number of rotations you purchased.

Now take a look at an affiliate site

Hit refresh and you will see that the same ad is always on top but the ads in positions one and two change.

You're affiliate link will look like this (with your user id at the end of it) and that is the link you advertise in order to make sales both on the Ravertiser as well as to have your other site get exposure you want.

On your own affiliate site, your ad will appear at the top left number one spot at all times. When you advertise your own link you can get paid the 10.00 while at the same time you are advertising your other program.

This is a neat and very powerful advertising tool and, except for your initial 10.00 payment, plus whatever rotation fee you choose to pay for, you are getting free advertising for life at a ridiculously low price.

It's a tool you must have in your advertising arsenal.

The more you advertise the more people see your ad in the number one spot and even if you don't make a $10.00 sale to everyone your ad is being seen virally everywhere and that is powerful advertising in anyone's language.

If you're not virally advertising all over the net, you are not marketing seriously. You must have others helping you to get your message out. There are many tools you can use to accomplish this and you need to use them all.

ICM is one example of a viral advertising method. There are many others. List inferno is one Viral Ebooks are another way to spread your message all over the internet, Make it your business to ad a viral marketing tool to your advertising arsenal at least once a week. Your business will mushroom and blossom over time if you do.

You may find it will wither and die if you don't.

The Continuing Saga of J and P - Now in audio...

This week you can either read the continuing saga of J and P or you can listen in on it instead. We just thought you'd like to hear the unique mix of J's raspy, loud, New York Accent and P's softer, more laid back approach... Either way turn up your speakers and have some fun with us today...

Which would you rather have-Ten dollars right now or ten times ten 6 months from now?

J? What kind of question is that?

I am trying to find out your patience quota.

My what?

Your patience quota

J, would you care to explain that?

Not really, P. I just want you to answer the question.

What was the question. J?

Which would you rather have ten dollars right now or ten times ten in 6 months from now?

Well, let's see, J. If I grab the calculator we can figure out the present value of ten dollars and see what it might be worth in six months. Then maybe I'll sit down down and chart it out for you and I can give you an earnings presentation tomorrow. How's that?

P, you are trying my patience

That's right, J, I'm trying to find out your patience quota.

Yes, J?

Don't start....
