Make your Internet Fortune Now...

YES - You really can ... Make your Internet fortune as an Affiliate Marketer. Learn how at:

No, I am not being delusional here.I have decided to be the Queen of England - at least for today.

Why, you may ask?

Because I can.

I am a firm believer that most people, when they set their minds to it, can accomplish almost anything they want. I get that from being a rather optimistic person as well as from my Masters degree training in psychology. I was lucky enough to study with one of the best motivational psychologists around in the sixties named Abraham Maslow (Theories of Self Actualization). Optimism and Maslow - it's an explosive, powerful duo and yes, it allows you to say crazy things like:

And I'm the Queen of England...

What does all this have to do with marketing? More than may meet the eye at first glance.

Phil and I wrote a book about looking at marketing from a different point of view. The book is called Joe? Yes, Mable? Are We Rich yet? and it is a glimpse into how marketers might start to look at the way they communicate their messages to the public in a vastly different way.

I, for one, sometimes find myself yawning and falling asleep at the wheel of my computer when I look down the list of ads I have decided to send out on any particular day and realize that I have seen them and heard them once too often. When I can no longer supress a yawn, I know it is time for a change.

Yesterday ,I found myself yawning and squirming in my chair once too often so I picked up the ads that were on the notepad in front of me, threw them in the garbage and just let my imagination run wild.

The first ad was an ad for the WebPro Times, my first and best love.

And I'm the Queen of England

The second was for a program that Phil and I just think is the cat's meow, ISOR;

ISOR, We Saw, They Saw and Now You can see too...

The Third one was for JV Alert, the joint venture meeting place which we have mentioned often in the WebPro Times.

Your ship just came in! Book your passage now.

The fourth was for one of the products that Phil developed our Ravertiser/Magnetizer

We're ADVERTISING Your Site Right Now..

And I went on like that...going through each of the ads I generally throw up on the net, in one form and another, and I threw them out and just tried something different for each one.

The results are not in yet. I have only run some of these headlines once and that is not enough to test their viability, but that's not the point...

You can not just do the same old same old all of the time. Not only will you put your audience to sleep, but you will end up snoozing a good deal of the time yourself. If you snooze, you lose.

Make up your mind to have some fun and experiment with your ads one day. You may or may not get results and certainly, if you only try it for one day, you probably won't get much. Have the courage of your convictions. Find something about the product and service that you really like and then turn it into something irresistable for your readers.

You may not want to be the Queen of England, but , perhaps you would like to be the King of Siam.

I am the King of Siam, I have told you who I am. Who are YOU?

What's this an ad for? Well...stay tuned. You may just see it winding it's way around the net next week and I bet you'll open it just to see what it's about.

From her Majesty, the Queen of England
Have a great week

Footnote: Definition of insanity:
"Keep doing what you have always done and expect different results."

For our new readers: You should know: We always end our articles with a jingle to emphasize the point. You can capture the essence of our articles in the Jane's Jingle section every week.

Jane's Jingle is the summary and conclusion of the editors article and
generally captures it's essence so if you need to cut to the chase, you can always skip straight to the jingle :-)

I am the Queen, I am I am
Tell me who you are, Sir or Ma'am
I can tell a lot by what you say
So why not say it a different way.
Go out on a limb, the cradle won't fall
Turn words around and have a ball.

7 Tips to Increase Response in Email.
By Paul Easton

Opt in email marketing is no different than normal direct marketing in that small simple changes will increase your response and success. These tips will help with both plain text and html email:

1. Personalize - "A persons name is still the sweetest sound" Having first name in both the subject of the email, and the body of the message will help your email get read and not just deleted or being mistaken for junk mail.

2. Fr**- Offer something fr**: - It's an over used word on the Internet, but it still works, but it must 100% fr** not an item you have to pay postage and packaging for. If you do this your user who checks out your offer will feel cheated.

3. Tracking - Always track any promotion, which means using tools that will allow you to track responses and conversion of visitors to sales. A good service to use is adminder: http://adminder.com/ Tracking also allows you to find out what information is most important to your readers

4. Talk - When you write your email copy, write as if you are having a one-to-one conversation with the recipient. This makes your customer feel like a real person and not a number.

5. Short but informative - Provide the information in a short and clear method showing the main information using short paragraphs of 3-4 lines making it easy to read or skim over. Using bullet points and line space between paragraphs to highlight important points.

6. Benefits not features - Show what the item or service can do for your customer, not what its features are.

7. Call to Action - Use a sense of urgency with ease of contact with an easy to contact- Use Clickable link such as http://site.com or mailto:you@yoursite.com This format will create a click on link in most email programs.

If you are marketing internationally you will need a format suitable for America On Line or AOL - The biggest US ISP. Something like this:

[ AOL Users Click Here ]

Always test and target to your market, response rates can be up to 20% with the right message. Trial and error will prove you right or wrong. The power of the promotion to an in-house list is something very over looked. The list must have agreed to receive information (opt-in) from you or you just become junk email.

Lie: Using Your Credit Card on the Internet is not Safe.

Fact: Using your credit card online is as safe as using it in the world of bricks and mortar. You just need to be smart and follow some simple rules.

1. NEVER send your credit card details via an email, an instant messaging program, or give them to someone in a chat room even if they are a friend or someone you know. The same applies if you use PayPal, StormPay, E-Gold or any other online payment system. NEVER include any of your private financial details or login info in an email.

2. BE SURE: If you are being asked for your credit card details make sure you are on a secure page before you enter any details. The fastest way to tell if you are on a secure page is look at the url in your browser window. It should start with https:// - note the "s" at the end of the http - This means secure. Next, look down the bottom of your browser window. Usually bottom right. You should see a padlock. This means your details are being hidden and shielded from other prying eyes on the web.

If you do these few simple things you will be fine and completely safe. Go spend some money and have some fun. The internet is alive and well.

And now for something completely different...

This week you can either read the continuing saga of J and P or you can listen in on it instead. We just thought you'd like to hear the unique mix of J's raspy, loud, New York Accent and P's softer, more laid back approach... Either way turn up your speakers and have some fun with us today...

Hey P?

yes, J?

I really liked being a Queen for a day. What did you really think of my WebPro Times ad with that loony headline. And I am the Queen of

yes, P?

Do you really want me to answer that?

Yes, P I really want you to answer that. We are partners. You are suppose to be my sounding board. You are supposed to stop me when I go overboard and keep me from falling into the drink.

J, Are there any more impossible tasks you'd like to give me: I don't think anyone could stop you from going overboard and you are driving me to drink
with all this queen for a day stuff.

Well, P that's clever but it really doesn't answer my question. Do you like my ad or not? A simple yes or no will do.

J, I discovered a while back that nothing is simple with you. You are the most complicated woman I have ever met.

What the heck does that mean, P? I am not complicated. I am simple, straight forward and completely predictable most of the time

" Pigs bum, J" You are anything but...

Anything but what, P?

J, Stop worrying about going overboard. I am going to help you out of your dilemma. I plan to throw you overboard later today

Well, P, I guess that's one way to avoid answering the question.

Yes, P?
Don't start...
